Claw Hammer Heaven

Posted by Miguel MC Dowell on Friday, September 24, 2010

Wow after the first 72 hours of coming back to BHO and looking at so many wonderful things I feel like I have entered  Claw Hammer Banjo Heaven. I had always wanted to find such a site as this and now that I have, it seems like there is not enough time to view everything. I have already gained some new friends, and plan to gain a whole lot more as time passes.

After 12 years of not playing the banjo, and then getting a new CCOT Gold Tone I am able to start over once again. I have three very good teachers Ken Perlman, Bob Carlin, And Old Wood Chuck, as well as many more. I really love the why Tony shows how to preform. Now it is time to get down to business and practice, practice, practice. I can play some of the old songs I have learned, but I need to refine my basic stroke, and get clear notation as I hit the strings. This seems to be the current problem for me, so I can see this will take much practice to get it right.

Welcome Miquel! Like you, I'm working on "the basics"of playing the banjo. Also like you I am very impressed with the BHO and all the fine folks who are a part of this community!
Best of luck to you!

The price is right, too. Plus, OWC will explain what ever you aren't clear on. He's just good people.
