I bought my morgan form a local dealer who had it hanging on his wall for three years , maybe longer. I had eye balled it all this time wondering if i should pick it up, having never played banjo before i didnt realize that the set up was so poor( i puchased it they put it in a case and said here)so i took it home and have been playing it every since , but thanks to all u ppl out here on banjo hangout. I realized from reading all the post that i could get a lot better sound out of it if it was properly set up , so today i took it apart cleaned it real good,( it had old glue in places it shouldnt have and dust)i tightened the head to its proper place and put new strings on and adjusted the bridge so tha the 12th fret notes rang the same as the open notes and walah i have a brand new banjo, at least it sounds brand new! I wanna say thank you to everyone that post on here its a wealth of information that is truly appreciated!

My first 'jo was a Morgan Monroe. One of the best for the money, I say. For me, too, once I learned how to set it up, it played like others at three times the price!
