We've been invited to play at a bluegrass festival. Yippeee!
Well, it's a small picking festival at Sildsen, West Yorkshire next year. But I'm not splitting hairs.
The five of us managed to all get together on the camp site last week end and make enough noise that one of the organisers heard us, and subscequently invited us to do a spot next year at the Sat night concert.
The irony of is, is that up until now we've only played in pubs, the odd folk and open mic nights, so it will be, sort to speak, the first bluegrass event that we shall have played.
But anything can happen between now and July 2011.

Wow... you obviously aren't a novice at all! I think it must be time to change your level to "purty good"! Congrats on this and maybe next year the weather will be good and I will finally venture up to Silsden to hear your band.

Well joemac, those nagging doubts started a long time ago and shows no sign of abating.
But seriously folks, thank for the encouragement.
Yes Maria, go to Silsden next year and help those guys keep bluegrass in Yorkshire alive. Those guys also run a bluegrass session at The Grove Inn, Back Row, Leeds. LS11 5PL the last thurs in the month.
