Just got this picture of my grandson's new banjo (he's 5, but we know you can't start 'em too soon), the new Vintage 35 from Sullivan. My daughter-in-law's dad is a long-time picker and was good friends with Bill Sullivan. The boys are carrying on and just released a flat-out AMAZING banjo. And the story of it is fascinating...I just posted a new pix of the peghead. We actually have a video clip of Tony Wray (now with the Doobie Brothers) playing this banjo and all I can say is WOW! That brings the "banjo count" in both families to somewhere north of 10. And that is also cool. Here's to all the great banjo days ahead for us all...and especially YOU TRISTAN!

I can't wait to try the new Vintage 35. I'm hoping they'll have one or two of these things at the IBMAs this year that I might be able to take for a test spin.
I'd love to check out that video that you posted a link for, but when I click it, it tells me it's either been removed or is not visible for privacy reasons.

I'll work on that link. It's posted from Facebook so I might need to move it over here...
