The Birchmere & The House of Musical Traditions
The Mike Seeger Commemorative 4th ANNUAL OLD TIME BANJO FESTIVAL will take place on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19. Artists include:
Tony Trischka- Master of multiple old time banjo styles, minstrel thru bluegrass
Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer- Grammy winning duo playing cello banjo, banjo ukulele, 5 string and other hybrids
The BIG Banjo Orchestra - From bass banjo to piccolo banjo, Marcy Marxer will present an amazing orchestra emulating the sounds of the early 1900's

BANJO CONTEST- Sat., July 17th in Takoma Park. MD
11:30am-1:30pm- TAKOMA PARK GAZEBO, Carroll & Westmoreland, near House of Musical Traditions.

Contest & mini concert @ HMT Judges include Adam Hurt, Beth Hartness. Contest winner performs that evening at the Birchmere. Mini concert artist TBA Contest Winner performs that evening at the Birchmere.
