This was inspired by Renorover, tongue in cheek, sayin' my avatar looked like a tombstone with a banjo hanging on it! LOL!
I spontaeneously combusted a little lyric ditty - (couple of the verses - )I don't have digital recording gear, so I wrote out and uploaded little midi/MP# - ( bass, claw, fiddle)(altho I hear a bluegrass?)
Bury Me Deep With My Banjo at My Head 2 (Important)
I cleaned it up & increased the speed - (the overnight jell)
the orig one, I had only 20 minutes to write it and ans Jeff) Go with 2
(have no idea of the tune that came through with the words - it is probably a generic polygot - (I hear, in one part - "My heart is breakin"...But what the heck! either G or A - both work -
Sorry Jeff, had to blame it on yew!!! LOL!
Bury Me Deep With My Banjo at My Head
Oh...
Bury me deep with my
banjo at my head -
no words are needed
(especi'ly when yer dead)
up high, the wind blows - over
strings with melody -
and here below where the worms all go
I'm a a'dancin' jamboree!
Oh...
Bury me deep with my
peghead pointing high
someone might notice
that this is where I lie
beetles click 'n' play my bones
to a natural "breakdown" tune
an' they're drummin' that bridge on my orbital ridge
beneath that banjo moon
Bury me deep, with the thumb peg in the ground
it'll keep tune, should the rocks all roll around
the head will turn mildewed
but my brains will mildew too
but with a gravelly plunk as I'm doing a bunk
in heaven it'll sound brand new!
