Man when it rains it pours. First off my awsome fiddle player is finished his 3rd yr of University and is headed home which is up north until probably June. Second I booked a good gig at the end of April in another province in a city we have never played yet. They want us to be a regular bluegrass band through the summer. It`s a very happening summer cottage resort town. Now my bass player tells me he can`t do the gig! Ok so I find a replacement to fill in for him and now my Mandolin player is stuck in Italy because of the volcano. He`s not sure when he will get back. I do believe he will be back in time for the show, but rehearsals without the fiddle, and a new bass player, it would have been nice to have him here. Aaargh! Hope we can pull it off.

Yep, real bummer sums it up Joe. I'm been out in the Middle East for a while on business, and now that I'm all set to get home, I'm stuck in Tel Aviv.
Pepper, I've been looking quite closely at the weather patterns over Europe and I can't see much changing this week. There are some low pressure systems building in the Atlantic that look like they'll hit northern Europe around Saturday and give us a more S / SW airflow. So I'm guardedly hopeful for early next week. Trouble is, this change could push the ash more over the pole, Greenland and Canada. I'm just an amateur at all this, so don't go making plans based on this!!! Fingers crossed for your gig.

Pepper,
Does this mean when it rains it pours and erupts too?
Hang in, this too will pass. (or at least disipate so people can fly)
Cheers!

I wonder if I could blame my late rent on the volcano?
