The Never Ending Lerning Curve

Posted by phill on Monday, April 12, 2010

Hi there, a lot of people ask me, how long does it take to learn to play the banjo. My answer is a lifetime. They look at me bewildered but when you think of it, you never stop learning but it just gets better and easier as you learn to use the tools to play.

I was recently talking to a retired engineer and he said that even though he was an engineer for 30 odd years, today he can still learn something new, and I guess that is life!

So enjoy your playing try and keep with in your feild so you don't get dissapointed (if you try something out of your reach). I'm great beleiver on streatching your limits to a point, the more you work at the more it will come. And everyone of us is different how we learn but thats not to say we can't learn, we can and I try and give as much encouragement to each and everyone I teach.

I know it can be hard at times but remeber you want to do this for your enjoyment, so go ahead and enjoy!!!

Great blog. If we do these things for enjoyment.... why is hard work such an important part?. . . . . am I doing something wrong?
