These last few days of waiting for my new to me pre war banjo are killing me. I can`t wait to meet her and see how it sounds, see if the hype is justified, see if it has "the pre war smell" I can`t wait to explore the banjo inside and out, and find it`s sweet spots, to look at the serial number, and find any history she may have. She`s leaving Texas tomorrow, drive safe uncle Walter! See you soon.

Not quite the same but I'm waiting for my first banjo build. The anticipation is off the charts and heck the neck hasn't even been started yet. Congrats and I hope she's everything you hoped for.

Pepper.....Haven't you learned to never trust Uncle Walter, because he is easily distracted:
I gave Uncle Walter a new coat to wear,
When he came home it was covered with hair.
And lately I've noticed there're several new tears.
I fear Uncle Walter goes waltzing with bears
