5 string? tenor? plectrum? Tenors are common and they are often available on ebay, usually sell for around $400. Plectrums are rare and sell for somewhat more. Original 5 strings are the rarest and most sought after and one in nice shape will go for over $1000. I have a plectrum. They were made by Wm Lange in NYC in the late teens/twenties and were the precursor to Paramounts. Aesthetically I find them very appealing and they are well made but just feel a bit more fragile than other makes. They have a suspended tone ring that is hard to describe in words, but with some research you can find some photos. What kind of music do you want to play on it? As a 5 string, they make a nice clawhammer banjo. As a tenor, they do well for Celtic music.
