March Madness in California and British Columbia!

Hi again friends,

Like many of you, I'm glad when the calendar finally turned a page, leaving the snowstorms of February behind to...well, who knows what in March? It's got to be better than February however! Megan Lynch and I continue to keep a very busy touring schedule going - we'll be in both northern and southern California over the next couple of weeks before we both travel to the 108 Mile Bluegrass Music Camp in British Columbia towards the end of the month. For those of you in the San Francisco Bay Area, take note of a new session of the Intro to Bluegrass Jam Class that's happening at the new Freight and Salvage. March 9: Berkeley, CA: A new early spring session of Ran Bush and Bill's Intro to Bluegrass Jamming Class begins tonight at the new Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse, 2020 Addison Street, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.- note new time. This class is designed for players on all instruments and singers who want to learn how to make great music with others - and have fun doing it! The emphasis is on fun and good times but you'll learn a lot in the process. Contact the Freight at 510-644-2020 x 127 or email andrea@freightandsalvage.org for more information. $120 in advance/ $130 after 2/22. Bill will co-teach classes on March 9 and 30. Separate sessions are designed for total beginners (Section 101) and those who have some experience plaing with others (Section 102). Drop-ins allowed for section 102 at $30 per class. This is the Bay Area's most popular bluegrass jam class - come join us!

March 10: Berkeley, CA: Bill Evans and Megan Lynch return to where it all started, Le Bateau Ivre, 2629 Telegraph Avenue, 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free but we invite you to enjoy a delicious dinner and make a contribution as you are able. 510-849-1100.
