Does anyone have an opinion about installing Keith Tuners? Does it detract from the value of a banjo? is it difficult to tansfer them from one banjo to another, and when I'm ready to 'upgrade,' can I easily put the old (original) tuners back on my banjo and take my Keith Tuners with me? BTW, I only started playing again about 5 months ago...but, seeing that I put in at least 1 1/2 hours a day, I'm accelerating quickly. I currently have a Fender (really not a bad instrument) ...but I want to start looking for something better...any suggestions for the "next phase" in banjos?

Both the Keith "D" tuners and Keith standard tuners require a 3/8" hole. If your peghead already has 3/8" (or 10mm), the Keiths will slip right in, and right out again if you end up wanting to to do that. Keith's don't detract from the value, nor will they add enough resale value to justify leaving them on the banjo if you choose to sell it. As far as "next phase", that's a real can of worms, enough to spawn a lengthy debate.

Thanks Brother...I'll have to measure the current peghead.
