Working about my first banjo album

Posted by Janna on Monday, February 22, 2010

Now I started to work about my first banjo CD. Yes, it will be the first CD with banjo music in Uzbekistan! I'll try to include to my new records all that I've learned about banjo with help of my friends from this site. Now I don't know what it will be, but I know that I'll just make it from the heart, because I love it.

I hope It will be ready during this year.

Thank you friends! You are always in my heart and your kind words always help me to play more and more. I know I play not perfect yet and not so good as you do, but let me to try create something using my 5 strings)) You know, I'm just learning how to play banjo.

So, dear friends, my first banjo CD I dedicate to you!

-------------

And first I would like to "invite" you in my country - sunny Uzbekistan: I've learned and recorded Uzbek tune on American banjo especially for you!

We created traditional but some modern Uzbek arrangement for it and now I can share it with you. All guitar parts played, arrangement and mixing by my friend Alexander Kartoyev. I only play banjo

Maybe this tune will appear in my banjo album but I need your opinion at first .

You can also hear some live Uzbek instruments in arrangement. We tryed to create a spirit of Uzbekistan in this music, so it is very different then we used to play on banjo.

You can download it and post your comments also here :http://www.banjohangout.org/topic/171716

--------------

And my rendition of Classical Gas is still here:http://www.banjohangout.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=163457

Thanks for comments! I read them all!

You are an inspiration to those of us trying to learn the banjo. Keep up the fantastic work and get that album put together. It will be fantastic!

I love the two tunes ou have uploaded. I am especially excited about the Uzbek tune. It is hard to belive you have only played for three years. Did you play the bouzouki or balalaika before? The tuning sounds similar.

I really like your cowboy hat you look very cute and happy in it. Keep playing and post some more of the Uzbek music!
