And thanks so much to Steve Huber for his generosity in giving his new ring away! My dream Banjo is a Huber and I'm a long ways from getting one but I'm now a tone ring closer!

I can't believe I lost. I must have sent a gagillion e-mails to friends so I could increase my chances. What a darn waste of time.

Sorry you couldn't win paws but maybe this will make you feel better it went to a guy that owns a 300 dollar banjo and has been drooling over steve's products since I heard about them. It might be a while before I have a banjo to put this ring in because of my financial situation but it's going to be a ring I have for ever!!

Congrats Matt! Post a sound clip when you get it in a banjo!

Congrats Matt! It's good to see a regular poster here (and a BHO union member to boot) win the prize. Here's hoping you find a good banjo to put that in sooner rather than later, eh? I'm not sorry I lost now. I already have a decent banjo (and ring). Someone like you deserves this more than I do. :)

Congrats, Matt! Let us know how the upgrade goes.

Hey, Congrats Matt! I hope that makes your 300.00 dollar banjo sound like a million bucks if you use it in it. Sounds to me like it couldn't have gone to anyone more appreciating.

lol i mean your win .....sorry for the typo

Thanks again guys! I'm still pinching myself!! Unfortunately I won't be able to use the ring in my heap. It is a tone hoop banjo rather than a tone ring.... Bummer! I am most likely going to try to piece something together around this hot rod ring. Another thing I have thought about is seeing if I can give it back to Steve huber and have him build a banjo with the ring in it. I have had my heart set on a Huber for my next banjo going on 2 years now. We'll see how it all shakes out but I will be pickin something with this ring in it!
THIS IS JUST AWESOME!!!!

I was gonna build a great Banjo around that Tone Ring. Oh Well, Congrats Matt Let us hear it when you get her installed.

Thanks again guys! I did it, I'm having Steve build a berkshire around that ring. It's been my dream to own a Huber banjo and this ring just made me dive in head first! I guess I will have Jim e-mail me some pics of the ring so I can at least see what I won before it's in a banjo. Thanks a ton Eric for all you do with the site! So, my two years of player union dues minus the cost of the ring, I guess that means I owe you about 23 more years of player union dues! Totally worth it in my humble opinion!
