I'm considering trading my 2002 stelling sunflower for a 1979 ODE model C that has been completely gone through. I trust the guy offering the ODE, I've dealt with him before. I'm just unsure about value.
I love my stelling and play it every day but maybe it is time to mix it up.
Anyone know much about ODE (Baldwin) banjo's?
thanks in advance

At one time I owned both style ODE's, a C and a D. They both had thin and narrow necks, I wasn't happy with the tone and the workmanship was average. However, they were popular during the 70's and were played by many top players.
I do think that your Stelling is a better value then the ODE, so I would be careful before I traded or sold it.

thanks for the advice. I'll probably pass on the ODE.
