Wondering what to think about the latest email from Paddle News that hit my inbox this morning. Love the idea of them having a "banjo tee shirt" . . . and double checked to make sure the email wasn't from BHO. No, it's from paddling.net, and the tee says "Paddle Faster -- I Hear Banjos" with a drawing of a canoe paddle-shaped banjo.
Oooh, I know the big "joke" from Deliverance, but I just hate it.

Yep - This is a saying from that movie Deliverance. "Paddle faster I hear banjo music". The Paddle News must have changed a word to get it out there, cause the original t-shirt is copyrighted. Funny t-shirt. I see your new good luck and stick with it Banjo playing is great fun!
Stay Tuned,
Christine

No reason to resent the joke. Embrace it. If you laugh with them, they can't really laugh at you. I handmade a T-Shirt myself with that on it. Once some friends of mine and I hid in the bushes beside the Trinity River and played the banjo every time one of the tourists paddled by.
The opening bars of "Dueling Banjos" always gets their attention. My friend Mark would cock his shotgun for effect.
Ah, youthful hijinks.
