News (interviews, reviews and random banjo thoughts)

Posted by Hunter Robertson on Sunday, November 8, 2009

News, some old, some new.

- I'll be performing and doing banjo workshops at the Sweet Sunny South Old Time American Music Festival next September (2010 that is. Weekend of the 10th to the 12th) in Hastings, East Sussex, England. Get your banjos tuned up and come one come all! http://www.sweetsunnysouth.co.uk/

- Dj Duclock interviewed me for his site, learn all my deepest thoughts about the weather, motherhood and the economy. Ok, really we just talked about music (and a little weather). http://duclock.blogspot.com/2009/10/hunter-robertson-interview.html

 - Various reviews of my new CD "If You Want to go to Sleep, Go to Bed" on my "News" Page. http://www.hunterrobertson.com/newsframe.html

- Added some expounding on banjos and banjo playing to my site (and clawhammer video lessons). http://www.hunterrobertson.com/banjoframe.html

How are things going on the Hunter Roberston World Tour? Get back here in the states so we can see you play!

Hey Andy! I'm raising an old-time banjo army here - I expect I'll be ready to return to the US in 2015 at the head of it. Resistance will be futile!

HA! Not sure anyone will want to resist. We could use some good music this way.

Dang, it's no fun when there's no resistance...

But thanks, things are going well. I'm starting to make acquaintances, get more gigs lined up and so on. Have a few music projects simmering (a new solo album and an instructional DVD) - enough to keep me out of trouble. Not sure when I'll be back in the States, but it would be fun to set up a tour.

Just had a listen to some of your recent music files, you're making good headway! If you still need a job when I return with my zombie banjo army, you're hired.
