Hi Guys and Gals
I needed to change the strings on my banjo, so got in touch with Brown Dog Banjos here in the UK.
I purchased at set of Martin Bluegrass Medium weight (10, 12, 14, 22 10) strings, and couldn't believe the difference, specially with the nickel-wound 22 4th D string. It has so much more/better tone than the strings I previously used, and doesn't lose anything when fretted.
Doesn't it give one more confidence when the instrument sounds really good? (Obvious, maybe, but if you've been using perhaps not such good quality strings previously as I have been, then the pleasure now, playing with this new [to me] set is such a contrast).
Best wishes to everyone, from Devon, England UK.
