went to a jam this last sunday and took my new vid cam...failed to get teenage son to go along as cam man ( a mistake as you'll soon see!!)...so I just set the vid cam on the table next to me and shot away. At one point I reached over to adjust the toggle type switch that controls wide angle and zoom in. I thought I was adjusting to the widest possible angle, but instead I went to the greatest zoom in. Ending up getting shots of a very much close-up of one person's hand. A video disaster. One take is just of a small sliver of a banjo, jiggling as the banjo player frails away! Audio was OK and worth keeping for a record of what we played. LIve, be stupid and learn!!
