I'm so sad to hear of the passing of Ray Alden. He was a great friend of American music and the founder of the Field Recorders' Collective. He was a great musician and banjo player and passionate learner and teacher of traditional music. His contribution to the preservation of the music that is our national heritage can hardly be estimated. I'm proud to have sat knee to knee and shard in the enjoyment of playing a tune with him. I will miss him deeply. http://www.fieldrecorder.com/
