Well, I’m moving close to a year of trying to master this 5 stringed beast. Life has a way of dragging you away from the needed time, but things have slowed a little and I am back to practicing almost every day again. I have made a few changes that seem to help, either in my mind or otherwise. I begged, or whined enough, depends on which side of the fence you’re on, to get a bridge from xnavyguy. LOVE IT. It added a huge amount of clarity. This led me to change from National picks to the Propik Angled Fast Pick. Since the bridge brought out the clarity, I could tell I either needed help with hand position or take the easy way out and get angled picks. Back to the time thing… I chose the picks.
Anyway, it is now early August and I am looking forward to cooler weather for the first time in my life because it means I will have more time to practice.

I've been trying to master the 5 stringed beast for more than 35 years and still haven't. hang in there, enjoy the ride.!!!!!
