If the banjo was the first instrument anyone learned, how old were you when you started and about how long have you been playing, and about how many hrs a week do you pick?
I am 38 and started earlier this year. I try and practice 3.5 hrs a week. (not much I know)

65. One hour a day average, so about 7 a week plus jams. Retired, so I have mucho time.

I started in 1960 when I was 17. I pick some (5string) and strum some (4string), but I don't keep track of the hours.

I started back in the '70s when I was in my 30s but had to quit to raise 3 teenagers. Started back at 48 and haven't stopped since. Am 66 now and practice about an hour a day. Have been in bands but now am retired from that, love to jam and go to festivals.
