Sunday night is the opening jam for Kentucky Music Week, a week of classes, concerts and jams organized by Nancy Barker in Bardstown, KY, my home town. This year, Nancy asked me to teach an introductory clawhammer course and, for some reason, I agreed. That starts on Monday and runs through Friday.
I'm looking forward to sitting in a class with Cathy Barton and Dave Para. The emphasis for this event is mountain and hammered dulcimers, but Nancy incldes classes on guitar, fiddle, harmonica, basket weaving, etc. Some great musicians will be there, including Ken Kolodner and Rick Thum. Without the info sheet in front of me, I am ignoring too many other fine musicians. Here's a link with more information: http://www.kentuckymusicweek.com/
