2 months pregnant and still making videos. I made this one yesterday. Yearlings in the Canebreak. Recorded in my living room so you can hear the banjo ring better because I have high ceilings and tile and wood floors. Tuning was ADADE (my standby). Hope you enjoy.
I spotted a banjo yesterday here on the BanjoHangout that I may not can live with. I have already contacted and hope to get the ball rolling on it. It is old like the one I play. I have bought another old one here, but it just didn't have the same ring. I can't believe I got this one of a kind Pollman on Ebay of all places and didn't have to do a thing to it. No buzzes, no weirdness.
I dropped off my Late 1800 Cubley yesterday at the shop. It just has some problems that doesn't make it sound very pretty. The 5th string's little nut seems to be too low because the whole string buzzes like crazy. Only way to fix it is to apply a little pressure above the string. Hopefully, they will make it sound better. I am also fighting one nylon string that just won't stay in tune for even 1 minute.
