4/7/2009 my 47th wedding annversy

Posted by retiredguy on Tuesday, April 7, 2009

We would have been married 47 years today. I miss her more today than on the day she passed. Just got home (again) from the hospital..... 2 weeks ago, went in to have stints put in the area where the aorta splits. That was a one day outpatient procedure. I stayed for 7 days. Came home and went back the next day. Today would have been the 15th day for a 1 day outpatient procedlure. My main problem turned to the fact that I was then the patient of a darn good surgeon. Wish he had been an Internest (my fam dr is). They finally decided I had divictilitis. The pain was the worse I have ever had. So here I sit, high on demerol with a caither and bag on my leg.. Reaching for my banjo after I finish this...Life is good..

Sorry to hear that your beloved is no longer with you and that you're having a tough time healthwise......sending thoughts across the pond on this Tuesday evening. Hope your banjo and this year's festivals give you some solace.

Don,

I'm saddened that you were unable to celebrate your 47th anniversary with the one you love, one day though... Your last lines should be an inspiration to us all. With everything you've had to deal with I love your out look, "Life is Good".  Take care!

Jim

Thanks Fred, I know that there are times when we feel that life has dealt us a bad hand we just have to play it out. I'm better now, still some pain though. I'm planning on going to a 4 day Bluegrass festival this coming weekend, just depends on how I heal. Don't have a lot of time left on this earth, I'm going to try to enjoy whats left. Sorry to hear all that you have been through. Just keep picki'n and best regards,,, don CPO US NAVY (R)
