Hi to all,
Megan and I will be performing in Berkeley this coming Thursday night, April 2nd as well as teaching and playing in San Diego on Saturday and in Granada Hills (the Los Angeles area) on Sunday. We hope to see some of our friends at one of these shows. Here's all you need to know:
April 2: Berkeley, CA: Bill Evans and Megan Lynch at the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse, 1111 Addison Street. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., showtime 8 p.m. For additional info, phone 510-548-1761. www.freightandsalvage.org
Saturday, April 4: San Diego, CA: Bill and Megan teach afternoon workshops from 3 to 5 p.m. at Old Time Music, 2852 University Ave. Megan teaches "So, What Does The Fiddler Do In A Jam Again?" and Bill teaches "Banjo Backup Essentials and Sounding Great At Your Next Jam." Sunday, April 5: Granada Hills, CA: Bill and Megan teach afternoon fiddle and banjo workshops and perform in concert at Blue Ridge Pickin Parlor, 17828 Chatsworth Street, 91344. Megan teaches "So, What Does The Fiddler Do In A Jam Again?" from 1 to 3 p.m. and Bill teaches "Earl Scruggs Essentials" from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Both workshops are open to all levels of players. $30 fee. Our new CD "let's do something..." is currently #6 on the Folk-DJ charts and the song "Rocks and Water" is in the Top 30, right up there with releases by Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and others. I will see you in Chicago at your workshop in late April. I'm really looking forward to it. Maybe the snow will all be gone by then.
