St. James Infirmary Blues

Posted by rudykizuty on Thursday, March 26, 2009

A few weeks ago, I picked up a copy of the Preservation Hall cd titled "Marching Down Bourbon Street". After hearing it, my wife commented how much she really liked St. James Infirmary. I also picked up a copy of Louis Armstrong's recording of same from 1928. Needless to say, developing a solid rendition of this one has been my pet project of late. I just wish I could sing too!!

Love the song as well.  Ever hear Doc Watson's version?  I have figured out my own version on tenor. Jim

Hi Jim. Can't say that I have, but I will definitely check it out.
