Workin' Our Way North

Posted by TedLehmann on Wednesday, March 11, 2009

We're in Savannah, GA just now, but will leave for Myrtle Beach tomorrow as we try to stay with spring as long as possible.  It seems we are happiest when our maroon Toyota Tacoma wears a yellow patina of pine pollen and we can't breathe.  We'll be attending Guy and Tina's Pickin' on Saturday near Moncks Corner SC and, as always, on the lookout for unusual bluegrass experiences to describe on my blog.  A week in Myrtle Beach, a week near New Bern, NC and we'll be in Burlington, NC for Lorraine Jordan's Homecoming Festival.  Look for my Merlefest preview pretty song as well as a piece on "How to Survive Merlefest."  Thanks for the support of all you BHO people on my blog.

Hi Ted, Thanks for keeping us posted on the happenings. There are a lot of us who are traveling less these days and it is really nice to see your great photos and read about the festivals. I think MerleFest is the best gathering of string musicians on the planet and I know you will really enjoy yourself there. Please keep the news coming! Ken
