Hello fellow BHO folks! If you are a novice-intermediate clawhammer banjo player (Played for 2-3 years), then you might want to come to my banjo intensive workshop near Albany NY on Saturday March 28th from 9-5pm. You can register at www.oldsongs.org. Here is the info from the website. Thanks!

Saturday, March 28, 2009 • 9am - 5pm
For novice and low intermediate old-time/clawhammer banjo players
Banjo participants will learn chords, drop-thumb, melody, rhythm and song accompaniment, as well as how to play with a fiddler.

about Jane
Jane Rothfield has been playing clawhammer banjo for over 30 years and has taught
hundreds of students at workshops, festivals and privately. Her easy going teaching style and approach makes the learning process fun and will enable students to get to the next level in their playing quicker! She currently plays fiddle and banjo and sings with Jane’s Gang, Groovemama and Red Hen.

Playing Requirements
Participants should have 3+ years playing experience and be able to play at a moderate speed. Ability to read music not required. Schedule
The hall opens at 9:00 am. Classes begin at 9:15 am. Lunch is between 12:30 and 1:30. Bring a bag lunch or buy lunch from one of several nearby eateries. Classes end at 5:00 pm.

Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Workshop fee: $50
