Banjo as No Go

Posted by Joanchek on Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Yesterday I was playing pretty well so I turned on the little digital recorder and played tomarri's arrangement of "Puff the Magic Dragon."   Unfortunately, it's still under copyright so I can't post it here.  I wish I could;  it's a really sweet little treatment of the song and has an almost music-box quality in parts.  I did send the recording to a friend who is patiently waiting for his baby to be born  (she's 9 days late now!) in hopes that he can play it for the little one and get her into banjo early!

Snow's melting, which isn't pretty but it's welcome.  It's a brand new world of smells for the pup, which makes walking a little tedious.  But it's fun watching her discover things.  The other afternoon, the moon rose early and she sat and stared at it for about 3 minutes, just fascinated by the big ball in the sky.  She probably  wanted to play fetch.

Speaking of the moon, if anyone out there has an arrangement of  "I'd Like To Visit the Moon"  and would share, let me know.
