I Got my Yates Rattlesnake today. It is everything I hoped it would be. I took the resonator off to take a look under the hood and found a label that said it was made on August 15, 2005 and had the serial number 0003 (I bought it used). I guess he had a couple of others to practice on before he put mine together. This banjo BARKS! In my search for a banjo over the last month, I played an OME Sweetgrass, an H&D Owens Mills, an RB-250 (late 70s), and a Scruggs standard, but i believe I would rank this one #1 out of the five and not just because this one came home with me :-)
