O.K. So I'm relatively new at this jargon as well David, but I believe a "blog" is a short form derivitive of "Web Log". It's just a posting of your thoughts and feelings kind of like a virtual diary.
To enter a blog, look at the right hand side of your home page with the green background under the "Add New Content" heading and click on "New Blog Entry"

Chuck, if it's about thoughts and feelings, no wonder I don't know anything about it. I am, after all, a banjo player.
