That's a handsome banjo, but the tailpiece & stringing system seems a bit funky. The 3rd string doesn't look like it's engaged or aligned properly.

Sharpe eye, I have the strings slacked off for cleaning purposes. Strings were not tuned when I took the pics. That picture is just to show the tailpiece. Not sure where I got it but it’s pretty cool. That said, I’d be willing to swap in a no-knot tailpiece if that’s someone’s preference.
