The "send private message" button on my member page doesn't show anymore as an option. I don't recall disabling it.
Can it be put back please.

I can't see a "Send Private Message" button on my page either, but I can see that button on your page.
Rather than send myself a private message I usually just talk to myself. It gets me some weird looks at the grocery store but the family seems to be getting used to it.

It's enabled. You can't see it because you don't PM yourself. Others can see it.
If you want to send a PM, go to the person's home page and you'll find their Private Message button and can send to them.
