Another One Step — an album recorded about 15 years ago.
I made it at a time when I still believed music could change my life.
When the stars felt closer.
When musicians from Banjohangout supported me —
and get together to sent me a real American banjo. (You can see my banjo story on my YouTube channel - Click here - Janna Banjo Story )
You can hear how I play my Nechville banjo in every track on this album.
Back then, there was so much happiness.
So much creativity.
So many dreams that haven’t come true.
And all of that still lives in these songs.
Today I’m releasing this album — not to chase anything,
but simply not to forget the girl I once was.

Dear friends,
It’s been so many years since I last posted here… too many.
And I’ve thought of this moment countless times.
I’m deeply sorry for disappearing. I know some of you might have felt hurt or forgotten, and that thought has always pained me. But I want you to know: I never forgot you.
I remember every kind word, every encouragement, every bit of support you gave me.
You believed in me when I was just starting out, and even sent me a real American banjo — a gift that meant the world to me, and still does. That very banjo became the heart of my album.
So why did I go silent?
Honestly… because it hurt.
Not because of you — never because of you — but because I felt I wasn’t able to live up to your hopes or my own.
Life got complicated. Creativity became a luxury I couldn't always afford. I had to work, to survive, to deal with so many things — and music often had to wait.
But I never stopped remembering.
And today, after 15 years, I’ve finally released the album I once dreamed of — Another One Step (Nothing Is Impossible). It’s full of the banjo you gifted me, and full of memories I still carry with me.
I just wanted to say thank you. Truly.
You are forever in my heart.
With love and gratitude, your Janna (Liltingtune)

Welcome back. It's nice to see you here again.
I had nothing to do with gifting your banjo, but I've always enjoyed your playing.

Do you ever go to that restaurant called Peggy's? Is it still there? It had license plates and cowboy decor when I visited. I used to work in Asaka but would travel through Tashkent.
Maybe you could perform live there.

I know this restaurant! I been there and was working there maybe for two times!
But it's only decor in cowboy's style. Unfortunately, our Uzbek people don't understand unusual music. So I was singing there regular pop music. Nice ti know you been in my city! When it wa??

Life takes all sorts of unknown twists and turns. It sounds like you've had painful experiences, but you're still here. I believe this is a part of healing. I know that you had wanted to come to the US back then and I tried what little I could (contacting past chairman of International Bluegrass Music Association) but ran into nothing but roadblocks. I know others tried too.
Hang in there. You are a talented and music is universal. Maybe you can come back to it again.
Thanks for your post.

I emailed the International Bluegrass Music Association -- again -- and the publication Bluegrass Today with links to this thread. I doubt anything will come of it but stranger things have happened. It always seemed to me that the bluegrass community should encourage and support talented musicians all over the world, especially when it springs forth organically in the most remote corners.
Keep picking. Music is the best medicine there is.
