Sunday jam 3-5 at Cedar Mountain Canteen in Cedar Mountain, NC. There’s another even closer, but cannot recall the info.

I went to a regular session at a brewery on the edge of Brevard town a while back. I think it was held on a Wednesday evening. But as I'm not local I don't know if that one is still running.

There was also a regular session I went to a few times in Lo and Mary Gordon's music store in the centre of town but as that store has changed hands I doubt that is active any more.

edit: I read Brian's post after I posted. Oskar Blues is the session at a brewery I was referring to. Just couldn't recall the name.

Check with Cedar Mountain Banjo which is in Brevard. Lo Gordon's son is doing the building these days. Also Mary Gordon who you can find on Facebook. Both deep into Brevard music.

Hey RD--When are you going to be there ?   We will be in Cashiers in October (about 35 miles from Brevard) this year.  Sometimes I go to the Oskar Blues jams--but haven't been this year due to a multitude of weird medical emergencies.  But we are gonna be up in October--if nothing else--you can ride over and we can pick a few tunes on my back deck.

Best Banjo Wishes,

Mary Z. Cox

Hi Mary;

Thanks for the kind invitation.

I'm not actually traveling to Brevard (yet).

I have a cousin  there and was looking for some spots he could hear the local music.

Thanks for your reply.
