[Not advice, but I don’t see a more appropriate place for this]
The United States Postal Service is issuing a stamp honoring Pete Seeger. It shows Pete playing banjo, clawhammer-ish (not making a rude gesture).
Very nice.

If I had this stamp, I'd use it in the morning, I'd use it in the evening, to send letters all over this land.

I have always bought music stamps when they had some and love it's this type of music on a stamp . We have music pic type Christmas cards of us made and diffrent ones every year . This will go perfect on those cards and hope the stamps will be out before Christmas . Here's this years .

Nice one! After over 80 years of government suppression of Pete and his life morals and ideas.
Don't send mail often, but maybe I'll buy a few someday!

P.S - I Do not think Pete would have been too keen on having his photo on a stamp (or many other things), to tell the truth....

His son provided the picture -- he colorized a black and white photo. I think that's as close to getting Pete's nod of approval as one can get.
Pete did have his photo on many album covers.

Coming out next year. USPS typically issues a schedule. Depending on your local PO, you may have to order it from USPS. Pete is the reason I play the banjo; I plan to buy more than a few.

Yup, same reason for me as well! A very good man also, besides the banjo and guitar picking.

If you're going to buy some and don't intend to use them, buy a full sheet. If it every becomes a collectible a full sheet will be more valuable. I bought 2 sheets of the Houdini stamp, one I used and the other is kept in one of my several books on Houdini. I'll likely do the same with the Seeger stamp, though I don't have any Seeger books, and a full sheet won't fit in a CD so I'm not sure where I'll keep it.

Great, just great. But wish there was a stamp of the banjo head and its immortal stenciled incantation

I started in 1971 with Pete's red cover instruction book. I have the LP record that accompanied it.
