Hey All - This is the jig The Tenpenny Bit [click here], that I recorded just about 2 months ago. The first note in the B part should be an eighth note and not a quarter note as I played it though. Sometimes you don't realize you made an error until you listen to your recording ... which just goes to show the value of recording your tunes! Hope you enjoy.
And happy Canada Day (July 1st) to one and all!

Nice Rob. Here's a version I recorded a few years back on an instrument with the same tuning. Times 2.

Great versions Rob and Wayne. Good to see you using a pick Wayne!
Your playing is really coming on Rob - great Jig rhythm and the tempo is brisk. The timing issue you have identified is also present at the end of the A part before you go back into the A part again. You are holding the a for a quarter then going into the g f sharp lead notes when you only having 3 8th notes to fit these three notes in. It's adding an 8th note and causing you to break your pick direction. Try playing the a then straight onto the g on an upstroke, f sharp on a downstroke then the e on a downstroke which is the start of the next bar. I know that many of us would start two lead notes into a tune DU then start the DUD DUD pattern from the first bar but when the lead notes are coming at the end of the last bar in the middle of the tune they will be UD. Hope this makes sense.

Nice attack James. I also enjoyed the double stops and triplets you sprinkled in.
