My fifth CD is now available to the general public. "Nixon's Farewell" contains twenty all-original banjo tunes and songs written over the past forty years. It covers varied styles, from country to gospel; traditional fiddle tunes to lonesome love songs; topics from ecology to politics; subjects from frogs to roosters to beans. Aside from the title presidential tune, Ford, Clinton, and Obama are featured, along with Spiro Agnew (remember him?), Jimmy Swaggert, and a host of others. There is even a bootleg pocket tape recording from 1975 by a young George Winston, as well as a rocking gospel piano by an older George. I can't guarantee there's something for everyone but it won't be for lack of trying. Tell your friends, tell your Mama, tell your friends' Mamas. cdbaby.com/cd/curtbouterse3

Love the old-time sound of your banjos and fiddle. Do you still play hammer dulcimer? Glad to hear it on the old recording of Irish Washerwoman. I used to hear you play in the early '70's and remember that you had made your hammer dulcimer.
