The end is near for my first banjo build...
I'd like to put the head on so I can see how things look, attach the neck, check the action, etc...
And then when it's all said and done, remove the head and apply the final finishing touches.
Can a hide head be removed or will i have to waste that hide and stretch another?

Once a hide head has dried after fitting it is removed for trimming. Subsequent removal and refitting is not a problem...

As stated above - once the hide is mounted to the flesh-hoop (dried and trimmed) then it is essentially no different from a Mylar head in that it can be put on and removed as many times as you care to. It can be on one banjo, and then removed and put on another banjo. No problem.
