Semi-fretless.
Fret marks are scored into the fingerboard, but no frets attached.
Aircraft aluminum bar in the neck.

These are starting to get downright fancy. I hope you used a SALAD fork with a salad bowl banjo!

Do you have to chill that salad bowl in the refrigerator before you play it?

Mike, what are some of the dimensions? (bowl diameter, scale length?)
Do you find that the vegetable tray plastic shrinks enough, or is it marginal? I used something like that on my daughter's rectangular banjo, but I thought it was too loose. When I replaced the head recently with PETE from a soda bottle it was much tighter.
I've got a bowl all cut and ready but no time to work on it.

Scale is 26&1/2 inches.
Head didn't shrink as much as I would have liked. Probably (as I think YOU pointed out, elsewhere) the material had already been heated and formed to make the tray lid.
Bowl is a shade under 10 inches, and I cut the side down to 2&1/2.

Thanks, Mike, I was looking for some independent confirmation of that theory.

I just bought the exact same salad bowl at the goodwill yesterday! Mine measures about 10 1/8" though, looks like oak maybe? Planning something similar with it!

Well, do keep the rest of us informed.
Are you going to use windshield wiper reinforcing strips for frets?

Since you don't have an e-mail for us to click, here's a link to the video I wanted to send you about windshield wiper strips as frets:
