But not TOO fancy.
I get wooden salad bowls rather inexpensively, from thrift shops.
A nice piece of repurposed maple or (in this case) walnut for the neck, a single guitar peg, and a chunk of weed trimmer for the string.
The head is the sort of plastic they make soft-drink bottles out of.
Pre drill the rim, glue and tack the head in place, let it dry.
Heat it with a hair dryer, and it gets tight as a drum.
The frets are cut from discarded windhield wiper reinforcing strips, and spaced for a plain 8-note scale, no sharps, no flats.
I sell these with a song sheet where the words have the fret numbers over them, so anybody can play it, instantly.

But, without the numbers on the page, it's kinda hard to guess at the right frets.

Sounds pretty much the same as my 'Bowlin' tribute Banjo. Well done.

I got a few pre Food Fight salad bowls.
