One of my favorite TV shows.

I love it for not trying to be anything but a fine half hour of music.Simple and good.

Dad would have liked Gary Carter's style on the steel.That's how I like a steel to sound.

I really enjoy Marty and all the cast. The many different artist that he has on the show really makes it very entertaining. Gary Carter is a great steel player, makes me very jealous.............

I enjoy parts of his show.  But those awful electric guitars making waa-waa sounds way too loud make me want to turn the show off and never watch it again!

I do enjoy Leroy Troy and the rest of the show when they aren't amped up to loud.

I love this show! Where else are you going to hear a band play the theme song from Bonanza, and just kill it? Or Johnny Yuma was a Rebel? I love those twangy Telecasters, both Marty's and the great Kenny Vaughn. The whole band is top shelf, and they seem to be able to tackle any style of music and nail it. They have interesting guest stars and play real country music. What's not to like? Well-----this clawhammer banjo player just cannot abide Leroy Troy,and I always fast forward through his cornball bits. I liked Stringbean, liked Granpa Jones, but can't take Leroy's singing.

Absolutely one of the best shows anywhere on TV. Great musicians, great picking & singing, great selection of material, great announcer, always a sacred number and CONNIE SMITH !!
If Marty wasn't married to her I'd be courting that lady. Woo Hoo!

It's a format straight out of the past, but the best country music show. The band is great, and the guests are terrific, whether they are the featured performers or the ones sitting in with the band. Marty can play the daylights out of the guitar - electric or acoustic - or the mandolin. This is country music the way I like to see and hear it.

Connie's voice has not changed at all since the first time I heard her.That's a true style.You always know when it's her,singing.

I'd go see The Sundowners perform if they ever come to Maine.

You can count me in as a Marty Stewart Show fan as well.

 I remember seeing Marty play with Lester back in 75 or 76, just a young wiper snapper.

In addition to a great regular cast, guests have included John Prine, Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Keith Urban, Charley Pride, Old Crow Medicine Show, Roger McGuinn, Johnny Rivers, Lyle Lovett, Ricky Skaggs, The Kentucky HeadHunters, Del McCoury Band, Iris Dement, Tommy Emmanuel, Sheryl Crow,  and John Conlee to name a few. Couldn’t ask for more.
