Found this duck for 99 cents at Goodwill. Since it's hollow, and some kind of wood, I figured I'd try make a one-stringed banjo out of it.
Similar to the Wonderful One-Stringed WUNJO, but with a two octave neck.

I bet we could list 5 random household items and you'd be able to make a banjo out of them :-)
Things like this always remind me of Seasick Steve and the soulful, blues he's able to conjure out of a box, an older neck and sometimes just 3 strings.

I was going to finish it with Tru Oil gunstock finish, but butter IS notceably less expensive per ounce.
