Hello...I forgot to ask in my last post 'what you folks doing/using/making with your 'old'used calf skin heads? The one I had on an 1950 silvertone is split.I didn't want to disgard it as the banjo blonged to my grand-pa.Thanks for any suggestions.   Shawnee

If split near the edge you might mount it on a Ukulele Banjo or other small banjo.

Use the flesh hoop and stretch a new hide on it.

I agree. I keep most of the heads I replace because they can go on smaller instruments.
