One says The Weavers (which would make the MOST sense, since Pete was well acquainted with Melvina, and she wrote the darn thing.
Another one says The Limelighters (but maybe it was just a cover on one of their many albums.
It sure as heck wasn't some studio group, doing a singing commercial for a suburban real estate development.
