I just disassembled a Washburn masterclone that's been laying around for a while. I had never seen a ball-bearing pot on anything but a Gibson before. BHO helped me identify it as a B-21 Mystic. I thought a couple of pictures of the bb system may be interesting to some members. The last pic is of the spring loaded cylinder.

I should have mentioned that the tonering weighs in at a hefty 3lbs. 9.4 ounces and the bracket nuts are 9/32 inch. The fretboard needs new frets so it will be a while until I hear its voice. I realize that this not an expensive banjo but it is of interesting construction so if anyone has further discussion about this piece, I'd be happy to hear it.

Just to finish the thread, I had the neck refretted, got the banjo reassembled, and sold it to one of the best 'grassers in town after he played it for an hour. The sound was thunderous! He has owned a few great banjos in his life and currently plays a gold Ohm so he knows banjos. Best cheap(er) banjo we ever heard.
