On page 28 of the February 2012 issue of Banjo Newsletter is a wonderful review of two of Mary's albums, "Girl with the Banjo Tattoo" and "Drumming on the Edge of the Banjo."
Also inclucded are some tabs to "Sweet Bama" and "Goodbye Girls I'm Going to Boston."
Looking further, I noticed that the review was written by my good friend, Wayne Shrubsall. There's a very old video of Wayne, Mary and me playing on youtube - playing our Chuck Lee Banjos. Here's the link:

Now I see that Mary and Wayne are Facebook friends! ABOUT TIME YOU TWO!
Love the albums, by the way. If you don't already have them, buy them. They're a real treat for sure.

Judy--thanks for posting this. :) Didn't we have such fun when we were all together in Albuquerque? I was honored and delighted when I read Wayne's review--he not only understood where we were going with our music--but he was able to explain it in a very clear and concise way--much better than we have been able to :)
Albuquerque is a fortunate city indeed to have so many talented and educated musicians that are devoted to music and the arts and to have musically open minds to embrace so many genres of music. :)
We are still dreaming of returning some day. :)
Love,
Mary Z and Bob Cox

I like the drumming and will have to pick this up.
We have a friend with gypsy roots, he uses alot of doumbek(?) and banjo in his music which I always thought it went well. Great job, Mary, +10 on the boots, too.
