I was lucky enough to acquire the patterns Leonard and Clifford Glenn used to shape the pegheads of their banjos (I also have the peghead patterns for their dulcimers and the mandolins Clifford made). The edges of the two patterns on the left show pencil marks from years of use. The pattern on the right appears to have been used less frequently (I've only seen this shape on one Glenn banjo). The holes were used to hang the patterns from a nail in their shop.

I'd like to say thanks for taking the initiative to accumulate the banjos, patterns and stories of the Glenn family. While I've never owned on of those instruments, I'm sure someone... maybe in a generation or two will be eternally grateful.

Here is the pattern Leonard Glenn made in the 1950s from the Eli Presnell dulcimer made in the 1880s. There are more photos on my home page.

Would you be so kind as to post the major measurements of that dulcimer pattern? (length, width at bouts and waist?)
The pattern I have (unknown origin) uses a 4-inch waist, bouts of 5 and 6 inches, and an overall length of 26".
