I have had the url bookmarked forever and now I get a "Page under construction" notice. I have to add /forum to the url and then it redirects me to banjohangout.org/pages/forum, but I can't get to the site's home page.

schlange - Posted - 01/13/2012:  06:41:47

Beegee--what happens when you go here? banjohangout.org

If that doesn't work--try rebooting.

pcfive - Posted - 01/13/2012:  10:23:59

I can't download MP3 files. I use Mac with Safari.

Just FYI, I've received now over 80 times the same message from the hangout site. Who knows how many times I may get this email from my "friend"???

spoonfed - Posted - 01/13/2012:  11:52:18

seems to take an age to navigate around the site now, you know that little spinning thingy that appears when you are waiting ? Well I get to see more of that than the page I want to look at !

I am getting some 500 server errors occasionally - don't think I've seen those before.

dgill - Posted - 01/13/2012:  16:45:47

I am getting the same as Laurence.  I go back then try again and it usually works.  May take more than one try at times.

schlange - Posted - 01/13/2012:  17:31:13

Let me know specifically what you were doing, what you clicked, etc to produce the 500 error, if you can. That helps us a lot.

Texasbanjo - Posted - 01/14/2012:  05:33:18

Saturday morning -- I'm still getting an occasional Error 500 -- or is that 50 -- anyway, doesn't happen often and when I go back and try again, it works.

MrNatch3L - Posted - 01/14/2012:  07:13:54

I'm getting inundated by emails about updates in threads which I'm supposedly subscribed to but which I know I never subscribed to. I'm not sure but I think they are all topics I visited via my mobile phone. Using computer now, I'm going to go in and unsubscribe. I'll try browsing around via phone during the weekend and see if I get the same thing.

Edit: When I go to My Subscriptions, none of the topics I'm getting emailed about are listed. I'll keep the mails in my inbox. Send me email if you'd like me to forward some of them.

It's Tuesday AM 1/17/12 , can't get on BHO home page again. It had started working , but out again. I use a mac.

asmcsgac - Posted - 01/17/2012:  14:11:03

I haven't been able to get on the BHO homepage for days.  Not even once.  Site under construction notice.

schlange - Posted - 01/17/2012:  16:28:40

Clear your browser cache if you're seeing the under construction notice. Might also reboot your computer.

barrybush - Posted - 01/20/2012:  11:04:19

Eric, I use an imac at home and work. Home works fine mac osx  10.6  but my imac at work I get the under construction  it is 10.5.8 mac any ideas?

SCclawman - Posted - 01/24/2012:  07:38:46

Not sure if this is related to the server crash, or if this is the right place to post this.

I've gotten 2 e-mails each morning saying that I've entered the drawing for the banjo that is listed on the front page. I've gotten these e-mails every morning for the past week or so. I normally enter these each month, but only get one e-mail at the time that I enter.

Thanks for the great web-site!

I just got this.  500 - Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

banjoy - Posted - 01/26/2012:  03:47:01

I still get Error 500 a lot of times. Usually hitting the URL again goes right to it. Have not seen any pattern to it so haven't posted here yet.

This morning I did a search using the form in the upper right hand of the screen. The first time returned seemed relevant to what I was seeking, but this is the FIRST TIME I have seen a URL return the error every time:

Just purchase Bob Carlin video - the ones that play through the browser - and do not require an external player - and they don not work - just get the spinning wheel... is that being addressed or do I need to pursue a refund on my $20...?

Which video(s) specifically? The ones I'm testing are all loading fine on this side.

Also--what sort of Internet connection do you have? Do you know the speed?

banjoy - Posted - 01/28/2012:  09:58:05

Ok I'll try again.

Get a 500 error for the link above. I googled the link and pulled it from banjohangout.org/topic/210902+banjohangout.org/archive/21090...firefox-a">google cache, pre BHO crash.

Maybe just not in the db anymore?

None of the videos load not even the free one... I have a high speed connection and routinely run videos from a variety of sources... I've tried to run the videos on more than one computer - even on my daughters Mac, none will run...

When I try to send a private message, I click on "send a private message", and the homepage screen justs refreshes. It never goes to where i can write the message.

I've noticed really, really long load times yesterday and this morning.

Long, as in 14K dial-up days long!

This has been consistent over two different connections and different computers, and over different times of the day.

Make sure you're not blocking popups... PM's are sent in popups. Nothing else has changed in that regard (and they're working fine for me and countless others) so I would check that.

Response object error 'ASP 0251 : 80004005'

Execution of the ASP page caused the Response Buffer to exceed its configured limit.

This is what I get when I go to active topics in the forums

Not that anyone emails me but if they do it would be nice to let them know I received it. Thanks for all you do Erich!

My cherished Playlists won't load in the Jukebox.
I don't see other BHO complaints about this.
Am I the only one suffering?

Or maybe everyone else has more patience with the server change than I do....

I seem to be having problems getting any automatic e-mails from the hangout on my hotmail account. I am not getting any confirmation e-mails for my automatic draw entries (don't even know if I'm being entered or not) and I also don' t get any e-mails when forum topics I'm subscribed to have new posts in them. I have double checked my settings for all of this several times and it says I should be getting them.

I have gotten e-mails from the site for other things (such as when I signed up as a union member and whenever I request a copy of a private message I send to someone) so I don't think it's my e-mail settings or junk/block list on my hotmail account. Anyone else having these problems?

@ pstroud1 - Yup, it's still posting. I was getting a similar msg when creating a new thread, but then realized I made the same thread 5 times!

What's up with the repeated classified entries on the main classified page? Almost looks like someone hacked or hijacked the page.
